The Parchment-Inks is an informal literary discussion group associated with L. A. A. Woodcock at the Shireburn Arms, Hurst Green, Clitheroe.
They are a group of writers and literary enthusiasts who come together once a month to praise the value of narrative in fiction. They discuss, write, assess and critically critique the eclectic realms of fantasy fiction, amongst other popular genres.
Writing a novel I find can be one the most arduous, confusing – and at times frustrating tasks to ever endure alone. For me, I am a perfectionist, and can be my own worst critic. It can take one years to fully learn the art of the craft.
It takes dedication, unbridled commitment, and a large amount of perseverance to succeed in storytelling, whether that be poetry, script writing, or setting the foundations of a well told fable.
Parchment-Ink Mentoring can offer you help and literary support with your novel. We can evaluate your work, reviewing plot, characterisation, setting, noting the novels key themes and motifs, discussing overall goals, description, and the secret loft-plot hierarchy of the book.
We can assess grammar, punctuation, syntax and voice of your characters.
We can assess structure, backstory, and help with a well-versed Foreword, or Prologue.
Either way, as a debut writer or an already published author, why not let a fresh pair of eyes give an overview of your work.
We also offer support for editorial services, synopsis work, or letter writing to a potential agent or publisher.
